Snow Storm Number 17

Shocking… Today we had 16″ of snow.  Yesterday, it was a slushy disgusting mess, and this morning we woke up with a ton of snow on the ground.

Since we’ve had so many snow storms, and our next door neighbor (the cat lady, not DH’s arch-nemesis on the other side of us) is old, we’ve been cleaning her snow when we are out there.  The area is not that large, but we do it.  One time her daughter bought us beer as a thanks.  And last night, she hired the neighborhood kids to clean her front AND our front as well!  It was really nice, and a great surprise.  DH”s addtional response after he saw the additional 16 inches this morning was, Great!! Couldn’t she have a picked a snowstorm with less snow!!  But in the end, it was great that she did that, because the slush from the night before froze under the snow, and it would have made it even harder to clean.  DH cleaned her front too.

I also dressed O in her snow suit, and I took her outside.  This snow storm, I didn’t put her gloves on, so she can touch the snow.  She was very interested in it, but she’s still a little afraid of it.  And especially to walk on it.  She keeps falling, so she doesn’t really move.  She just sits in one place and wiggles her bum a little. Then I have to carry her the rest of the time we stay outside.

The snow is a bit cold...
