Naughty Corner

Believe it or not, a 14 month old baby has already had to deal with Time Out and the Naughty Corner.  I won’t bore with the details of implementing the Naughty Corner, that’s what Super Nanny is for.  But in the last few weeks, both DH and I noticed that O has a slightly naughty streak.  So now, she has her own Time Out/ Naughty Corner.

It’s actually quite sad. We put her in the corner. Explain to her why. She cries. We set the timer for 1 minute.  Then she stops crying after awhile. And waits.  Sometimes she talks to herself.  Then when the time is up, whoever put her in the time out, goes over to her.  Tells her again why she was there.  Ask for a sorry and a Hug.  She hugs. Then we are ALL better!

I think they put her in time out at day care, becuase she knew from the beginning to sit there.  She never once tried to get up.  We never had tearful scenes as in the Super Nanny where we have to put O back into the spot again.  This leads me to believe that she is naughty at day care too.
