With the cold weather and it being out dark out until 10 am, it’s hard to get up.  Being under the warm duvet, hugging the cool pillow (because DH falls asleep in front of the TV).  It’s hard to swing your feet off the bed, reach out for the slippers, and move away from the comfy bed…  And with a talking monitor is pretty hard to ignore a chatty, pacifier clanking baby.  But don’t underestimate the power of turning down the volume of the monitor, or SNOOZING the baby!  Ah…. just 5 more minutes.

For example, this morning, baby woke up and started chatting at 5:50 am.  WAY TOO EARLY, BABY!!!  Go back to sleep!! I ignore the monitor… Baby goes back to sleep or just starts entertaining herself. Again, more chatting… Mommy ignores baby a bit more.  Finally only at 6:15 am, do I finally reach out for the slippers and go prepare her bottle…

And that’s how you snooze a baby!!
