Food Marathon

I usually make a lot of food in one go, and just freeze it.  I had back ups as well.  But in the last month, I’ve been procrastinating, so she hasn’t had much variety.  But I must provide her with more options, not just banana and blueberries and banana yogurt.  So tonight I made her the following:

  • Broiled Flounder (broiled an extra fillet for her as DH was making dinner) with steamed zucchini and yellow squash.
  • Rolled oats with dried prunes and apricots, and adding fresh apple and pear
  • Veggie Puree with left over steamed zucchini and yellow squash as well as sweet yams

But lately she has not been eating anything that is not fruit. I had been struggling with feeding her veggies and meat for more than a month. I mentioned to V at daycare, and she says, “I actually mush the fruit you give me with her meat and veggies, and she eats it.” I was like GENIUS!!!  So the next weekend, O had talapia with roasted sweet potato and banana.  Gross!  But she ate it like it was the best thing ever.

Whatever works!

PS  Sometimes I wonder how much money we saved by making O her food every day?

PSS Just FYI… I do have an emergency stash of Beechnut Baby Food when I am too lazy to make her food.
