Who Am I???

Recently I do things that I am amazed by. Not in a good way.

I was never much of a health nut or cared about organic. I honestly believe that organic is not all it’s cracked up to be. An apple from Chile is just as good as an apple from New Jersey. That is until I had O. Now all of a sudden I find myself at WholePaycheck, and stare down the baby food aisle and trying to decide between Organic baby rice cakes or vanilla wafers. Is Baby Mum-Mums that much better for her than good old Gerber?? I think it’s OK to pay an additional $5 for baby organic food, but I am appalled when I have to pay $3.99 for ripe vine tomatoes.

And the saddest of all, yesterday I was at the supermarket, just the regular Stop& Shop, and I bought one tube of Triple Paste Butt cream (O has a lot of butt issues, which deserves its own post, so I won’t clarify here). At the register it came out to $3.99…. THAT’S RIGHT, $3.99 (from $7.99)!! I got so excited, I had to run back and get another tube.

I always maintained that DH and I would NOT become one of those couples that only discuss the bowel movements of their baby, but every once in awhile I find myself discussing just that. Not too often, but every once in awhile I mention that I am concerned she hasn’t pooped her usual 7 times a day (I know, you CAN’T wait to read about this). This conversation doesn’t happen too often maybe becuase DH is not a SH (sweetie husband) that changes diapers.

In all fairness, I expected to be obssessed with developmental toys. I was pleasantly surprised in my more laid back attitude about this. True, everything is relative. So my less obsessive nature could be someone else’s neurotic compulsive behavior.

Food for thought….
